Welcome to Freeminds Foundation

 
Hi, after several months of hard work we are excited to finally launch the Freeminds Foundation (FMF). We are so excited to share with you what we have coming up over the next few months and will be taking a nostalgic trip down memory lane of how we got here, and share some stories from the amazing team here at FMF.

Freeminds are community organisation based in Birmingham, UK, and we pride ourselves on serving our local communities. Our focus is to ‘cultivate an inclusive and empowering environment in our communities’. Delivering a difference to those who need it most, and being an organisation for everyone.

Our goal is to create a positive social impact by providing educational programs and workshops, along with community development initiatives. Our primary target audience includes the disenfranchised youth (16-21yrs), vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals, as well as groups facing social, economic, or educational barriers.

In Birmingham we have significant challenges, with services being dismantled each day such as libraries, community centres and wellbeing services as the city council looks to balance the books. This means essential services are no longer there to support our most vulnerable, and community organisations like FMF need to fill the void being left behind in what is an unprecedented set of circumstances.

We hope that this goes some way to helping those who need it most, but we need more help to run these programmes in the community.
